Hi, I’m
Elissa Lee

Every Californian – everyone – is a neighbor, and when neighbors know each other, communities thrive.

I’m thrilled to serve the state of California and lead the Meet 6 Neighbors and Neighbor-to-Neighbor initiatives  to build social connection and community resiliency in neighborhoods across the state.

My purpose is centered on improving accessibility of systems (esp. healthcare!), engaging people in building community and leading healthier lives. Previously, this has looked like:

– Building partnerships between community and research to develop patient-centered, chronic care management interventions for historically excluded + medically underserved populations

– Writing a book (thanks Oxford University Press!) and data-driven articles focused on health disparities and what we can do about it for Center for Health Journalism, Southern California News Group, and more

– Working with mission-driven nonprofits such as Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, the Clinton Foundation, and SCAN to develop evidence-based strategies, build partnerships, and evaluate impact

Feel free to drop me a line on LinkedIn!
